Teachers need to keep up with the new trends of the times

The new era of technology ushers in many changes in life, and education also needs to keep up with this cycle if it is to bring relevant knowledge and successfully nurture outstanding individuals. That is why the teachers at Sunshine Maple Bear Primary School always update new trends, catching up with advanced education, especially teaching technology 4.0. Recently, Ms. Tran Thi Dung, teacher of the Vietnamese language group, won an award in the contest “Designing electronic lectures and teaching software for the 2020-2021 school year”. Before this joy, let’s listen to Ms. Dung’s humanistic views on education.

Teachers in the 4.0 period

Talking about the award, I highly appreciate the contest “Designing electronic lectures and teaching software for the school year 2020 – 2021”. The important thing is not receiving awards or titles, but to me, it is important that eleaning lectures help optimize the transmission of information to students, helping students achieve their learning goals. During a pandemic like this, the fact that children have to study online can happen at any time. So how to build online lectures to be attractive, memorable and easy to absorb, ensuring the program and effectiveness is extremely important.

Not only with elearning or electronic lectures, any new educational trends, or advanced methods of communication I will also spend time learning to update my knowledge. The teaching profession is a profession that imparts knowledge, but it also needs to be received for continuous innovation. This class of students has grown up, and the new students have had a lot of changes in awareness, in life as well as in the development environment. Therefore, the old way of teaching will no longer be relevant.

In classes, I always set goals for my children to focus on learning, encouraging and motivating them anytime, anywhere. It’s important for children to be self-directed: to express their own views and opinions during each class period. With young students who are hyperactive and lack concentration, I always sympathize and listen to and share their problems. From there, set goals and encourage them to do them together.

Always uphold the core values

“The average teacher can only talk. Good teachers know how to explain. An outstanding teacher who knows how to illustrate. Great teachers know how to inspire.”

This is my favorite quote and also my educational point of view. To me, even though they constantly update and refresh their knowledge, teachers also need to have core values to preserve and follow throughout their teaching time.

What I feel happy and always passionate about is that every day I see my students grow up, they are bolder, more confident, like to go to school every day and feel that it is their world. Belonging is a place where you can trust and seek help from people around you. This is the motivation to help me work harder in learning and cultivating my knowledge. Young love and desire to nurture successful individuals of the new era are values that never change.

In the coming time, I will focus on reviewing knowledge for students so that they can achieve the best results in the year-end exam. At the same time, I will also learn more about the eleaning lecture, if I have a chance to attend next year I would love to try my hand again.
