In recent years, the application of constructivism in education is known as one of the effective methods to help maximize learners’ abilities. With this method, students can seek to discover knowledge through experience under the role of the teacher’s organization and direction. According to Assoc. Pho Duc Hoa, right from the first grade level, students need to be involved in solving learning problems and actively giving critical thoughts in activities that students find appropriate. and excited. “According to the new paradigm, learning activities allow students to construct their own knowledge by experimenting with ideas from prior experiences and insights. Agreeing with the point of view, Mr. Dang Thi Thanh Nhan – Principal of Sunshine Maple Bear Primary School said that learning according to an educational model applying constructivism will help students have the capabilities and qualities of 21st century citizens. Besides, MSc. Dang Thi Thanh Nhan also affirmed that building a truly happy and respectful educational environment for teachers and students is an important goal. Only in this way can teachers and students maximize creativity in teaching and learning. If the school has happy teachers who are satisfied with the working environment, then there will be happy students.

Diving into modern training methods and programs, Ms. Nhan shared: “At Sunshine Maple Bear Primary School, students will be directly involved in self-directed projects and experiential activities, aimed at character education, talent development and personal capacity. STEM activities help students develop their ability to explore and research science. In addition, students are also focused on developing skills in perception, regulation, interpretation and analysis of emotions (EQ).”.

According to Ms. Angela Quinn – Maple Bear Training Director in Asia, to become global citizens in the future, mastering two languages is extremely important, helping children to excel in academics. all aspects, increase brain cell connections, positively impact high-level cognitive activities. In recent years, the bilingual training method has “won the throne” and is the choice for children of many parents. In particular, at some excellent programs such as Maple Bear Canada, right from the early years, students have access to language by the Immersion method, helping them to learn and think flexibly by both English and Vietnamese languages.

 “Books with children” was one of the topics that received a lot of attention from parents at the conference. Because forming the habit of reading in children is one of the important methods to help children develop comprehensively, accumulate knowledge, and expand their understanding of the world around them. Sharing about this, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh – Lecturer of Literature Department, Hanoi National University of Education – Founder of the “Open Book” project believes that each student can create his or her own knowledge through reading. . Reading books properly will help children nurture curiosity, interest in learning and be exposed to an endless treasure of knowledge. To do that, schools and families need to work together to build a reading environment and guide reading for children. The library is the heart of the school, and the home is the place where a “tiny reader” is raised.

The seminar gave the participating parents the most intuitive view of modern educational methods suitable for children.
