Class “Bus Safety”: Protecting children all the way to class

In the last two classes on September 24, the children of Sunshine Maple Bear Primary School had an interesting lesson on “Bus safety”. The lesson aims to provide students with a risk-free journey from home to school.

In this lesson, SMbers get acquainted with many emergency tools: seat belts, emergency hammers, alarms or medical first aid kits on the vehicle. In addition to learning how to use these tools,  students are also given detailed instructions on the steps to take when they are in dangerous situations such as: car crashes, injuries in the vehicle or cannot escape. out when adults are not around.

This is also an opportunity for teachers to introduce general rules when riding a car such as greetings, sitting in the right position, or not making noise or swearing. The most interesting thing is that the lesson takes place right on familiar buses. This helps the little ones to absorb knowledge in the most intuitive way.

The lesson is also part of the traffic safety education program of the Ministry of Education and is taught annually by the school to all students.
