Trường tiểu học Sunshine Maple Bear là trường tiểu học đầu tiên sử dụng chương trình bản quyền của Maple Bear Canada tại Việt Nam
Hệ quốc tế, học sinh có 13 đến 15 giờ/tuần làm việc với giáo viên bản ngữ (5 buổi/tuần, tương đương 50% thời lượng bằng tiếng Anh, 100 giáo viên nước ngoài). Hệ chất lượng cao, học sinh có 12 tiết tiếng Anh/tuần (trong đó có 4 tiết với giáo viên nước ngoài, tương đương 30% chương trình bằng tiếng Anh và 30% giáo viên nước ngoài).
Tài liệu tiếng Anh và thiết bị dạy học phục vụ cho chương trình được nhập khẩu toàn bộ theo yêu cầu của chương trình Maple Bear Canada.
Tại Sunshine Maple Bear, học sinh không chỉ được học English Language Art (ngôn ngữ), mà còn được tiếp cận các môn học khác được dạy bằng tiếng Anh như Literature (văn học): Writers’ Workshop, Guided Reading, Drama; Math (toán); Science (Khoa học); P.E (thể dục). Như vậy, các học sinh vừa được tiếp cận với tiếng Anh theo phương pháp thẩm thấu tự nhiên vừa học cách tư duy bằng tiếng Anh.

Bên cạnh chương trình tiếng Anh được biên soạn mang tính cập nhật cao, chương trình Maple Bear còn cung cấp chương trình giảng dạy mang yếu tố địa phương, bổ sung cho chương trình Canada. Điều này mở ra nhiều lựa chọn hơn cho học sinh Sunshine Maple Bear khi được chuẩn bị và có khả năng thích nghi dễ dàng giữa hệ thống trường Sunshine Maple Bear và các trường trong hệ thống giáo dục Việt nam hoặc đi du học ở các nước.
Tuy nhiên, chương trình Việt Nam của trường cũng có nhiều ưu điểm nổi bật về phương pháp dạy học và quy chuẩn đánh giá học sinh.
Về phương pháp dạy học, Tiểu học Sunshine Maple Bear tổ chức dạy học theo hướng tích hợp các môn học và dạy học dựa trên quan điểm “dạy học kiến tạo”, giúp học sinh luôn chủ động trong quá trình học tập.

Về quan điểm đánh giá, nhà trường xây dựng bộ đánh giá chuẩn đầu ra dựa trên khung đánh giá năng lực Bloom đã được phát triển bởi nhà giáo dục Lorin Anderson. Đây là thang cấp độ tư duy được xem là công cụ nền tảng để xây dựng mục tiêu và hệ thống hóa việc kiểm tra, đánh giá năng lực của người học. Thang đo này đã được sử dụng trong nhiều thập kỷ và đã khẳng định đây là phương pháp đánh giá có nhiều ưu điểm trong việc khuyến khích và phát triển các kỹ năng tư duy của học sinh ở mức độ cao trong quá trình học tập.
